How do I create a Tracknesty account?
Go to tracknesty.com and click "Get Started". Fill in your organisation name, email, and password. You will receive a verification email — click the link to activate your account and are taken to the onboarding wizard.
How do I add employees?
Dashboard → Members → Invite Member. Enter the employee email and assign a role (Admin, Manager, HR, or Member). They receive an invite email to set their password and join the workspace.
How many employees can I monitor?
There is no fixed cap. You are billed $8 per active monitored employee per month. Add or remove employees any time — your bill adjusts at the next billing cycle.
Which OS does the agent support?
The Tracknesty desktop agent currently supports Windows 10 and Windows 11 only. The admin dashboard works on any modern browser on any OS. macOS and Linux are on the roadmap.

How do I install the desktop agent?
Download the installer from Settings → Agent Download in your dashboard, or from the Download Agent page. Run the installer on the employee's Windows PC, enter the workspace URL and employee credentials, and the agent starts automatically in the system tray.
Can I install the agent silently?
No. Tracknesty is designed to be transparent — the agent is always visible in the system tray. Hidden installation violates our Terms of Service and employment law in most jurisdictions. Employees must be informed that monitoring is active.
Agent is installed but not sending data. What to check?
1. Ensure the agent is running — check the system tray. 2. Verify the employee is logged in with correct credentials. 3. Check the PC has an active internet connection. 4. Confirm the backend server URL in the agent is correct. 5. Check the member status in the admin dashboard — it should show "Online".
How do I update the agent?
Download the latest installer from the Download Agent page and run it on the employee's PC. It upgrades the existing installation automatically — no data is lost.

How does automatic attendance work?
Attendance is determined by the agent's first active session (clock-in) and last session end (clock-out), compared against the employee's configured schedule. Days are classified as P (Present), L (Late), H (Half Day), or A (Absent) automatically.
How do I set up employee schedules?
Members → select employee → Schedule. Set working days, shift start, shift end, and minimum hours. Schedules are per-member so each employee can have different shift times.
What if an employee is incorrectly marked absent?
Employees can submit a correction request from their member portal. It goes to HR or admin for approval. Once approved, the attendance record updates automatically and the audit trail is preserved.

How do I configure screenshot intervals?
Settings → Monitoring → Screenshots. Choose Fixed interval (every N minutes) or Random interval (unpredictable timing within a window). Random is recommended as it prevents employees from predicting captures.
How do I view screenshots?
Dashboard → Members → select member → Screenshots. Screenshots appear in a timeline view. Filter by date range and click any screenshot to view it full-size.
What happens when the PC is idle or locked?
Screenshots are only captured when the agent detects active keyboard or mouse activity. Idle time and locked screens produce no screenshots — that time is marked as idle.

How am I billed?
$8 per active monitored employee per month, charged monthly in advance. An "active" employee is one whose agent connected at least once during the billing period.
How do I cancel?
Settings → Billing → Cancel Subscription. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. No further charges after that.
Do you offer refunds?
We do not offer pro-rated refunds for unused portions of a billing period. If you cancel mid-month, access continues until the period ends.

Does Tracknesty record keystrokes?
No — never. Tracknesty tracks which application is active and which website domain is open, and captures periodic screenshots. Keystrokes, clipboard content, and passwords are never recorded.
Where is my data stored?
Tracknesty is self-hosted. All monitoring data is stored on your own server or VPS — no monitoring data passes through Tracknesty's servers.
Can employees pause tracking?
Admins can configure whether employees are allowed to pause. If enabled, employees right-click the system tray icon and select "Pause Tracking". The pause is logged with a timestamp in the dashboard.
